Strengths:
The strengths of the city of Struthers include the availability of different recreational activities for all age groups. Many of the recreational activities are free of cost and open to the public. The city has access to numerous parks, sports facilities, and gyms for the public to engage in physical activity as well as learning to be on a team. There is bingo for all age groups that is open to the public as well as many different activities at the Struthers Library available to a variety of age groups. The city also carries out many different festivals, such as the St. Nick's Festival and Struthers Day, that allow the community to come together and celebrate with family and friends.
Weaknesses:
The main weakness that the city holds is that there were recreational activities for all age groups however, there is limited availability of facilities catering to the elderly and handicapped. The library and church hold different activities throughout the month for these vulnerable groups, but there were no facilities designated for just these groups. It is important to give our citizens an equal opportunity to participate in recreational activities and for these services to be available to them.
